There’s no stopping the YBNL Nation rapper/singer called Lil Kesh. He’s had a successful tracklist so far. In the words of Olamide: “Every single was a hit back to back, from ‘Lyrically’ to ‘Shoki’ to ‘Efejoku”.
The artist has already kicked of the year with a new single titled ‘Ibile‘.
Ycee
‘Jagaban’ was one of the street anthems of 2015. When Ycee released ‘Condo’ featuringPatoranking in May 2015, people wondered who he was. When he dropped ‘Jagaban’, the streets were listening. Following the success of this song, he collaborated with YBNL rapper Olamide on the remix.
On January 1, 2015, he won the award for Rookie of The Year at the 2015 Headies. From his delivery and swag, Ycee sure poses competition for some of the already established rappers.
Tekno
Augustine Miles Kelechi popularly known asTekno scored his best year in 2015 with his two singles ‘Duro’, and ‘Wash’.
The singer signed to Iyanya’s Triple MG imprint made his debut in 2012. The success of his 2015 singles have got us waiting to see what he’s got this year.
Adekunle Gold
Since his emergence in 2014 with ‘Sade’,Adekunle Gold, has been stirring the waters of alternative music in Nigeria.
The singer signed to YBNL Nation in 2015 and remained true to his art despite being signed to a label known for creating club bangers and street anthems. Last year his singles ‘Orente’ and ‘Pick up’ received massive media airplay.
Eva Alordiah
Eva Alordiah is probably one of the fiercest female MCs in Nigeria right now.
Alordiah’s fans were left disappointed when the rapper didn’t release her debut album titled ‘1960’ as planned in 2015. With songs like ‘War coming’ and ‘Kanayo’ featuring Phyno and Reminisce her anticipated album is overdue.
Korede Bello
Korede Bello just might be the Harry Style of Nigeria with his jerry curls, charming smile and his infamous wink.
The signer signed to Mavin Records rocked Nigeria in 2015 with his hit song ‘Godwin’. The tune was well received in clubs, churches and even bureaucratic gatherings. It won best Best Pop Single at the 2015 Headies.
Reekado Banks
In 2014, Reekado Banks was named Rookie of the Year at the Headies awards. At the 2015 edition of the awards ceremony, he bagged theNext Rated award. Last year saw the Mavin Records act release four singles: ‘Sugar baby’, ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Corner’ and ‘Katapot’ which was a success nationwide.
Kiss Daniel
Kiss Daniel left us wanting more in 2015. In 2014 he served up ‘Woju’ as a starter, in 2015, he gave us ‘Laye’ as the first course and left us all staring at the kitchen door for what was coming next. An album perhaps?
Simi
Simi stole our hearts with her single ‘Jamb question’. The mid-tempo song showcased her sweet sounding vocals.
On January 12, 2015, the singer dropped hints on Twitter suggesting that she was working on new material.
